Our innovative and sustainable approach to digital infrastructure ensures reliability, efficiency, and future-ready solutions for our clients. nLighten's current footprint is 34 data centers in 7 European countries, with the ambition to grow to 100 sites during the next 3-4 years. We are looking for a proactive and versatile Site Technician (m/f/d) to support the daily operations of our data center in Madrid. This hands-on role is essential for ensuring uptime, supporting customer deployments, managing both physical infrastructure and connectivity operations, and maintaining smooth and secure facility performance. The ideal candidate will have a background in critical environments, strong technical knowledge across mechanical/electrical systems and IT connectivity, and the ability to work independently while delivering excellent service. Support customer installations, cross-connects, remote hands activities, and troubleshooting requests. Ensure proper cable management, accurate labelling, and clear documentation of all customer-related activities. Request quotes and budgets for required work, and verify vendor completion reports. Respond to urgent alarms and technical issues, both remotely and on-site, as part of an on-call rotation (one week at a time). Collaborate closely with the Data Center Lead and operations team to deliver seamless service. Background in data centers or other critical environments such as maritime, offshore, oil & gas, or large-scale facilities. Technical knowledge across both mechanical/electrical systems and IT connectivity operations. Basic understanding of IT networks, cabling standards, and connectivity troubleshooting. Fluency in English or Spanish is required; Play a key role in maintaining operational excellence across a growing data center network.
