Assistant Business Controller

The assistant to Business Controller will play a critical role in the end-to-end process of record to report in Fuentes Fertilizantes SLU. Main activities are to maintain the general ledger of the company including preparation of financial and managerial reporting. We also embrace diversity, give people the latitude to express themselves and value differing opinions.About the role:Your key responsibilities will be:Perform month-end closing related general ledger activityAssist Business Controller Manager with annual audit by preparing required schedules and interacting with the external auditors and monitor statutory filings.Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders within the business, such as the business controller, local HR team, and the Director of Finance.Support reporting manager in the quarterly balance sheet review processPerform balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analysisPerform assigned internal control/SOX activities when applicableAd-hoc tasks and projects as and when assigned by managerCarry out monthly and annual accounting closings: report to corporate management.Monitor the financial evolution and analysis of the group companies at the P&L and Balance sheet level, ensuring compliance with the defined parameters and proposing recommendations regarding deviations from the reports, preparation of the Budget and analysis of deviations.Guarantee the implementation of processes, procedures and policies necessary for the correct development of the activity of each of the group companies, acting as Internal Auditor.Coordinate all audit processes of the Group companies, managing data and people.Manage all administrative-financial processes of one of our subsidiaries.General support in all financial, fiscal and administrative processes of the various subsidiaries of the groupAbout you:We are looking for a motivated and ambitious team member:Business oriented and dedicated team player with a pragmatic approach.Able to work independently with good time management skill.Eager, result driven and problem solver.Education and Experience:University degree in Business, Economics, ADE, or related fieldMinimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting and/or reporting related role in a large multi-national (preferably in a shared service environment).Knowledge of general ledger operational accounting (Spanish)Has a strong knowledge of front-end GL/reporting systems, preferably QAD, SAP consolidation NetSuite system.Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word, and Power point.We offer:Training and Development: Professional development opportunities and continuous learning.Work Schedule: Mon-Thurs: 8am to 6pm (intensive on Fridays and during the months of July and August), with the possibility of 2 days remote working per week.Stimulating Environment: Challenging projects and passionate team.Application process:We’d love to see your application Click on "Apply now" button and upload your resume online.
