My client is an exciting growth semiconductor technology company, with customers including NASA and Airbus, who are continuing to grow as they achieve more and more success.ResponsibilitiesThey are looking to hire an experienced Software Engineer to take a lead role in designing and building their data platform. This will enable them to have robust data pipelines and systems that ensure complete traceability of data from their manufacturing tools and processes. This role is critical for enabling data-driven decision-making and ensuring compliance with security and quality standards. Working closely with the CTO & CEO, you will be responsible for designing and building and implementing a cloud-based data platform. Technology and tool selection is also a key part of this role.Key Skills & ExperienceStrong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databasesHands‑on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, dbt)Expertise in Python or Scala for data processingExperience with big data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plusCloud Platforms: AWS (Glue, Redshift, S3), Azure (Data Factory, Synapse), or GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow)Data Security: Knowledge of encryption, IAM, and compliance frameworksVersion Control & CI/CD: Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes or similar toolsExperience of working as a Data Architect or Data Engineer would be a significant advantage.
