F&B Captain

Join to apply for the F&B Captain role at Mandarin Oriental Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca is looking for an F&B Captain to join our Food & Beverage team. As Restaurant Captain you will be responsible for overseeing a designated service area, ensuring smooth operations, high service standards, and an exceptional guest experience in line with Mandarin Oriental values. Responsibilities Oversee a designated section, ensuring smooth service and a welcoming guest experience. Support supervisors by completing daily checklists and maintaining service standards. Demonstrate strong knowledge of the outlet’s concept, menu, and beverages, confidently guiding and advising guests. Ensure mise en place and cleanliness standards are consistently met before and during service. Operate the POS system efficiently, including order processing, billing, and non-cash payments. Deliver attentive, friendly, and personalized service by anticipating and understanding guest needs. Upsell food, beverages, and experiences in a natural and service-oriented manner to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue. Communicate guest preferences, allergies, and special requests clearly to kitchen and management teams, supporting seamless operations. Qualifications Degree in Hospitality Management or similar. At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role. Proven experience leading teams within Food & Beverage, ideally in a luxury hospitality environment. Technical Skills Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach. A genuine passion for guest interaction, with the ability to anticipate needs and deliver personalized service. A visible and confident presence on the floor, leading by example during service.
