We specialize in thermal control systems, structural panels, optical payloads, avionics, release and deployment mechanisms, and rad-hard microelectronics. Together with our tech partners we provide high-throughput smallsats and their subsystems . Our brand-new factory in Madrid is suited to integrate satellites and constellations .We are looking for a End to end Telecommunications Network Engineer with the mission of acting as the key expert in space-based telecommunication networks within the company, leading the definition and implementation of satellite network solutions across various projects, including the BeetleSat constellation.Tasks to be performed:Satellite Network Design & Implementation : Develop and configure satellite communication networks (architecture, topology and definition) and management (control)Sizing of telecommunication channels for a whole networkTelecommunications Network protocols expert . Understanding of satellite communication protocols (DVB-S2, DVB-RCS, TDMA, SCPC,…)Link Budget Analysis & Optimization : Perform link budget calculations to optimize signal quality, bandwidth efficiency, and power allocationGround Station equipment : Knowledge in satellite ground station equipment, including modems, antennas, RF systems, and baseband unitsNetwork Security & Compliance : Implement encryption, authentication, and regulatory standards (e.g., ITU, FCC) to ensure secure satellite communicationsTraffic Management & QoS : Monitor and manage satellite bandwidth allocation, implementing QoS policies to optimize performanceRequired skills, experience and candidate profile:Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position.Telecommunications Engineer , or similar engineering brandPreferred specialisation in Telecom systems and networks , with focus on Satellite CommunicationsKnowledge of switching and core-network protocolsKnowledge of satellite operations and protocolsExperience with satellite terminals, antennas, and RF subsystemsKnowledge of satellite link budgeting and propagation modelsKnowledge in Telecommunication regulatory compliance & standardsExperience in network simulationsHand-on experience in implementing and configuring satcom networksUse of modelling languages : UML, SysML,…Eligible to work in EU.The position is located in our Headquarters of Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid).We're looking for curious, creative, tenacious and collaborative people , eager to do things and unafraid to tackle challenges in order to contribute to improving the society in which we live.Think Big, Do the Job & Enjoy Life At ARQUIMEA, we value diversity and inclusion.
