Postdoctoral Researcher – Identification and Validation of Therapeutic Targets for Diffuse Midline GliomaApply for the Postdoctoral Researcher role at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC).OverviewIBEC is recruiting research staff for the implementation of one of the sixteen “Collaborative Projects” selected in Catalonia within the framework of the Complementary Plan for Biotechnology in Catalonia. The project is the “STOP-DMG” study, which prioritises the identification and validation of therapeutic targets for Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG) based on high‑throughput screening.ResponsibilitiesGenerate patient‑derived neurospheres.Analyze biopsies from PDX mice.Participate in the design and execution of a chemical screening.Work under the direction of Dr. Di Croce.Collaborate within the CRG Epigenetic Events in Cancer group and at the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB).QualificationsPh.D. in Biology, Bioinformatics or a related field.Proficiency in DNA/RNA manipulation techniques (PCR, RT‑PCR, qPCR, cloning, mutagenesis, purification, chromatin immunoprecipitation).Experience with proteomic techniques (protein extraction, subcellular fractionation, Western blot, protein‑protein interaction assays).Strong bioinformatic analysis skills.Competencies in communication, teamwork, collaboration, commitment, proactivity, integrity, critical and analytical thinking.High level of English proficiency.Working ConditionsFull‑time, 18‑month contract.Starting date: between 1st of April and 16th of June.Salary: attractive, commensurate with experience.Work‑life balance measures (maternity/paternity leave, flexible schedule, teleworking, 23 paid holidays, 9 leave days for personal matters).Professional development opportunities through IBEC’s training catalogue, mobility grants and mentoring programmes.Support for visa‑working permit and relocation to Barcelona.How to ApplySubmit an online application through the IBEC dedicated site by the deadline: December 22nd.
