DATA SCIENTIST – SUPPLY CHAIN | POWERING SMARTER DECISIONS AT SCALE Location: Hybrid in Barcelona Language: English (professional level) Contract: 6 months freelance contract + extension Start Date: February Rate: Up to €300/day Onsite Requirement: 2–3 days per week in Barcelona Summary: Our client, a leading global technology company, is looking for a Data Scientist with a strong Supply Chain focus to join their team on a high-impact contract. You'll work in a complex, data-rich environment, turning advanced analytics into actionable business insights that drive operational excellence. This is an excellent opportunity to apply cutting-edge data science techniques within a real-world supply chain context at scale. Key Responsibilities Extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets using Python, SQL, or similar tools Design and implement predictive models, optimisation, and simulation techniques Analyse complex supply chain problems and translate them into data-driven solutions Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure analytical outputs align with business needs Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Required Skills & Experience Proven experience in data extraction and manipulation (Python, SQL, or equivalent) Hands-on experience working with large datasets in complex environments Strong knowledge of optimisation, simulation, and predictive modelling Ability to translate business problems into analytical frameworks and solutions Experience within supply chain, logistics, operations, or similar domains is highly desirable Fluent English is required Interested?
