Direct message the job poster from ALG - Transport and infrastructure consulting firmALG is a leading global consultancy team with 35 years of professional experience working alongside the top players in the transport sector (operators, infrastructure developers and investors, etc.), advising them on how to better prepare to respond to strategic, capacity, infrastructure and operational challengesCurrently, we are looking for a Consultant to join our team in our Madrid or Barcelona office.Your roleAs a Consultant, you will be part of one of the top transport and infrastructure consulting companies and you could become an industry-leading subject matter expert or a trusted advisor to senior client management on a wide range of issues.You will be responsible forDefinition of digitalization/automation strategies for operations or particular business processesDevelopment of artificial intelligence / Machine learning algorithms that add value to our customersPerform advanced analytics to support operational and strategic consulting projectsSupport the definition and implementation of big data architectures for cloud environmentsOur digital team works in projects both hand in hand with other practices within the organization (operations, strategy…) to provide the client with best-in-class recommendations but as well in developing purely Big Data and Data Science projects, from cloud architecting to development of complex machine learning algorithms to add value to our clients business.This team is transversal to all modes of transportation but each member can be specialized to one or multiple modes.Desired Skills and ExperienceMaster degree from a top-tier university program preferably in Aeronautical Engineering, Naval Engineering, Civil Engineering and/or Mathematics / Computer science. MIM is desirableBig Data / Data science experience is desirable and requiredExperience programming in one or more languages, including Python, R, Matlab, Scala, C++ or Java and eagerness to learn moreCoursework or experience in working and/or setting up Big data architectures, particularly in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP is desirableCoursework or proven experience in machine learning and working with databases is desirable but not requiredTransportation consultancy experience is desirable but not requiredHigh level of self-reliance and work capacityFluent Spanish and English is required and other languages are desirable.
