Apply to this job opening and we will be delighted to meet you Who we are looking for We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a startup mindset to develop casings for near-eye display devices and individual mounts for optical and electronic components . The main objective is to integrate all near-eye display components into a next-generation product. What you will do Mechanical Design Develop casing for the near-eye display Define spatial requirements, mounting and integration methods for optical and electronic components Work with optical designers and electronics engineers to integrate the near-eye display Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations to optimize mechanical strength, weight distribution, and heat management Work closely with the manufacturing team and product engineer to fulfil DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles Tolerancing Work with optics designers to develop mounts for optical components requiring highly precise alignment Work with electronics designers to develop component housing ensuring heat dissipation and electromagnetic insulation and shielding Material Selection Research and select materials with required mechanical, thermal and electrical properties that are cost effective and compatible with large scale manufacturing Find the suppliers of materials and work with the product engineer and business developer to manage the supply chain Prototyping & Testing Rapidly create and iterate on prototypes using methods such as 3D printing and run tests to validate the mechanical designs What technical skills you have CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or Fusion 360) FEA/CFD simulation tools (e.g. ANSYS, COMSOL) Strong understanding of heat management, shock resistance, and miniaturization challenges Knowledge of properties of polymers, composites and metals commonly used in wearable/consumer electronics Experience with designing optomechanical and electromechanical components Experience with additive manufacturing (SLA, FDM and SLS 3D printing), CNC machining, and rapid prototyping tools Understanding of design for large-scale manufacturing techniques (e.g. injection moulding) What education you have Master’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in consumer electronics, wearable devices and/or AR/VR hardware Professional working level of English What personal qualities you have High personal and professional integrity Inner drive and proactivity Good listening skills and open-mindedness to feedback and new ideas Ability to share information in a structured and concise way Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with external partners Innovative and creative vision to identify new solutions to existing challenges What benefits you will gain by working at Inmersia Full-time permanent contract Industry competitive fixed salary , bonus according to the achievement of specific objectives and lifestyle benefits Flexible schedule Working on cutting-edge near-eye displays to revolutionize the XR industry Working with talented and enthusiastic people towards a common mission Strong opportunities to grow with the startup (participating in all phases of product development, opportunities to draft patents) Tangible influence on important decision-making Personal development opportunities – let us know what you need xsgfvud Fast-paced, productive and pleasant work environment If you are passionate about cutting-edge technology and would like to be part of a startup with great growth prospects, apply to this opening and we will be delighted to meet you
