The incumbent oversees technical design, manages key vendor and internal technology relationships, and ensures that Veeva Clinical is deployed in accordance with the STEP roadmap closely aligned with the organisation’s strategic objectives and industry best practices.Your Key ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities include, but are not limited to:End-to-end accountability for platform design.Define and enforce architecture and data standards, integration patterns, and connector strategies within the Veeva platform.Provide strategic guidance to senior business stakeholders, internal technology teams and external partners on development roadmaps and long-term system strategies.Act as a strategic advisor, balancing domain-specific requirements with overarching platform goals and technology strategy.Mentor and collaborate with Solution Owners leveraging the platform to drive consistency and technical excellence across application solution designs.Lead and manage the governance and operational activities for the Veeva Platform.Lead and mentor engineers and configurators on methodology and design principles.Ensure solution alignment with enterprise architecture, platform design principles and long-term business objectives.Serve as point of escalation, reviewer and approver for key issues and decisions.Partner with business and technology leadership to own, drive and develop platform-wide design guiding principles and methodology.Direct and inspire delivery teams to consistently deliver high-quality services and technical support for Veeva Vault.Oversee integrations, connections, data migrations and continuous optimisation of the Veeva Platform to enhance business processes, drive operational efficiency, and support digital transformation.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices fostering the standards of audit readiness.Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, keeping abreast of technological advancements to support ongoing organisational growth.Engage proactively with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, provide regular updates, and ensure that solutions effectively address business needs.Minimum RequirementsWhat you’ll bring to the role:5+ years of experience in project delivery and/or application management or IT services within a multinational organization. Key skills include strategic planning, stakeholder management and solution design.5+ years of experience as a Veeva (Vault) Architect or 8+ years as a Functional/Configuration specialist with a proven track record of implementing and/or maintaining applications from multiple domains.Deep functional experience in at least one domain on the platform (Safety, Regulatory, Quality or Clinical).Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into data and system requirements.Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive change and innovation.Experience in managing global projects and working in diverse cultural environments.Proficiency in using advanced software tools and platforms relevant to the job.Experience with ITIL frameworks and other service management methodologies.EducationVeeva Vault Platform CertificationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Business Administration, or related business field; (Master’s degree is preferred)Certification in project management methods (Agile, ITIL, Prince 2, PMI) is a plus.Experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies; Certification is a plusLanguagesEnglishWhy Sandoz?Generic and Biosimilar medicines are the backbone of the global medicines industry.
