As a Technical Lead/Senior Engineer Mechanical Equipment – Offshore Wind , you will provide technical input to worldwide offshore wind projects and lead the mechanical equipment engineering team.Main ResponsibilitiesEquipment definition and selection, ensuring all technical, safety and legal requirements.Preparation of technical specifications, material requisitions and documents for purchase orders.Technical analysis of vendor offers and bid evaluation for procurement.Technical management of vendors, design and documentation.Support during multidisciplinary design and safety reviews (HAZID, 3D model reviews).Coordination with disciplines and departments for placement of nozzles/connections, support, platforms, electrical needs.Interaction with clients, designers and vendors on technical solutions.Review and comment on technical information provided by clients, designers, vendors, subcontractors.Coordination of design approval with international bodies (Class Society, local authorities).Support to the Marine Renewables Unit Director in non-project activities such as procedures, design guides, resource planning, budgeting, recruitment.QualificationsM.Sc. or PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Preferably experience in bottom fixed and floating offshore wind projects.7–10 years senior/Chief mechanical engineering experience in EPC projects related to offshore wind, offshore O&G, shipbuilding or similar industry.English level: Minimum B2.Experience in a discipline leadership role overseeing mechanical equipment engineering work (tasks definition, planning, status reports).Profound knowledge of design, codes and standards for pressure vessels, static equipment and rotating equipment.Knowledge of international engineering legislation (Machinery Directive, CE Marking, ASME, ASTM, API, ATEX, etc.).Knowledge of mechanical design certification.Experience with software/tools such as AutoCAD 2D/3D, AVEVA E3D, Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat.Effectively prioritize multiple tasks and make independent decisions that promote company goals and objectives.Good communication skills in English, capable of discussing technical matters and engaging with clients.Benefits & PerksWe offer a stimulating and collaborative environment, continuous learning opportunities, and a competitive compensation package in Madrid.ApplicationApply now to join GHENOVA Energy and Water.
