Primary Electromechanical Engineer - Entry Level Are you ready to shape the future of energy? At Hitachi Energy, we are establishing and developing an Operation Center of Excellence in Madrid, Spain (ESOPC) within Grid & Power Quality Solutions business in Europe (HBUEU). We are seeking highly qualified engineers in the fields of Power Electronics, Grid Integration, and Research and Development (R&D) to join us in this exciting opportunity. As part of the Spanish Operation Centre, you will be part of a teamsupportingproject execution, including the design, manufacturing, anddelivery of such technologies all over Europe. Main projects include offshore facilities, data centers, and substations. How you'll make an impact Lead and coordinate the primary (electromechanical) scope to ensure the integrity and correct function of the substation system. Prepare and review technical specifications and validate equipment. Ensure 3D design/models, coordinating and resolving interferences between civil and electromechanical disciplines. Make technical recommendations during design, engineering, and execution phases. Support the project team with claims related to changes in the primary scope, assessing cost, time impacts, and risks. Collaborate with engineering colleagues to share best practices and develop coordination and communication skills. Your Background Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. Internship or up to 2 years of experience in electromechanical design of substations (AIS or GIS). Basic knowledge of High Voltage Apparatus. BIM/3D methodology knowledge is a plus. Strong motivation, curiosity for new technologies, and commitment to safety. Collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset. Fluent in English. Additional languages are appreciated.
