Description of functions We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Application Support Analyst to provide technical and functional support for our business-critical applications. You will act as a key liaison between end-users, developers, and system administrators, ensuring smooth operation, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of software systems. Responsibilities Provide first- and second-line support for enterprise applications, ensuring incidents and service requests are logged, investigated, and resolved in a timely manner. Monitor application performance and proactively identify and resolve issues. Troubleshoot functional and technical problems with applications and escalate complex issues to development or third-party vendors. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patching, upgrades, and configuration changes. Document incidents, solutions, user guides, and support procedures. Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and support application changes or enhancements. Participate in system testing, release management, and deployment activities. Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and ITIL processes. Assist in user access control and security management for supported applications. Provide training or guidance to end users as needed. Minimum requirements Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of experience in an application support or similar IT support role. Solid understanding of enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS, financial systems). Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and analyzing data issues. Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy). Experience with Windows environments. Basic knowledge of scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, or shell scripting). Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting SaaS or cloud-based applications. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Exposure to APIs, data integration, or middleware tools. ITIL Foundation Certification. Soft Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure. Customer service orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
