To succeed at this job, you will need to design, build, and maintain scalable data systems, create efficient ETL processes, and ensure data quality and accessibility.It's expected to have strong fundamentals in traditional relational databases, as well as experience with modern database solutions including NoSQL, vector databases, and graph databases. You should be proficient in SQL and Python programming, with experience in cloud-based data solutions, preferably AWS. Knowledge of data modeling, data governance, and data security principles is crucial.Data Engineers must be able to collaborate effectively with data scientists and analysts, translating their requirements into efficient data architectures.
