About the RoleUniversally Speaking (US) is a world-class partner to the games industry. Its role is to ensure games are ready for release; our customers trust us to make sure their indie or AAA games are perfect.We are opening a studio in Madrid after 11 years of success in the UK. If you have the skills listed below, please consider applying.What You Will DoMake sure games and applications provide the best user experience by being linguistic bug‑free.Check in‑game text for linguistic accuracy and correctness, and ensure it follows cultural rules.Learn the Universally Speaking LQA process and professional standards.Use industry‑standard bug databases to write detailed bug reports.Own bug resolution to ensure fixes are implemented correctly.Become the LQA expert across a broad range of indie to AAA projects and specialisations.Own, manage, create, and execute test cases throughout the project life cycle, including documentation of testing practices, LQA process, and reporting methods.Participate actively in test requirement gathering with developers to ensure localisation QA supports all features.Continuously improve processes, own additional activities, and create efficiencies.Cooperate with the QA team.Measures of PerformanceQuality, velocity, and precision of bug reports.On‑time delivery.Teamworking and communication.Continuous improvement and knowledge of LQA workflow and techniques.RequirementsExpertise in Arabic.Proficiency in written and spoken English.Passion for video games.Team player, able to work under pressure within tight deadlines.Pro‑active, tenacious, enthusiastic.Focus on quality and keen eye for detail.Good computer skills: word processing, database handling, record keeping, Microsoft Office.Right to work in Spain – sponsorship not available.Desirable but Not EssentialPrevious experience in LQA, translation or proofreading.Experience with LQA testing tools (test case management and text editing tools).Working knowledge of CAT tools (MemoQ).Knowledge of video‑game industry trends.Bachelor's or higher degree in linguistics.BenefitsFijo‑discontinuo contract.Training and learning provided by on‑site experts.On‑site work at our Madrid office, Alvento Business Park, Vía de los Poblados.Salary around €17,000‑€19,000 per year, depending on experience.Seniority LevelEntry levelEmployment TypeContractJob FunctionOtherIndustriesIT Services and IT ConsultingLocationMadrid, Community of Madrid, Spain#J-18808-Ljbffr
