The Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals is seeking candidates to join our rapidly growing Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Program. Applicants should have a strong interest and experience in the clinical care of children with CNS tumors, as well as an interest in related research.
Appointment will be made at the Assistant, Associate, or Full rank in the Adjunct, Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X, and In Residence faculty series. The academic rank is commensurate with experience. For candidates whose primary training is in pediatric hematology/oncology, their designated home department will be Pediatrics. Similarly, candidates with primary training in child neurology will find their home department in Neurology.
The selected candidate will join a major academic medical center and an established fellowship training program. This position may entail clinical responsibilities at both the San Francisco and Oakland campuses, and the candidate will actively contribute to the Department of Pediatrics' mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care.
Anticipated responsibilities include clinical attendance in inpatient Neuro-Oncology, as well as Hematology/Oncology or Pediatric Neurology (based on subspecialty). Additionally, participation in the evolving immunotherapy service for brain tumor patients is expected. These responsibilities also involve caring for patients with CNS tumors in the outpatient setting.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must possess a medical degree and license, board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics, and board certification/eligibility in Hematology/Oncology and/or Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology.
Preferred qualifications include a robust academic background and a keen interest in pursuing a career in clinical or basic research and teaching.
