EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEERJoin our team and build the furure of space technologyWe´re expanding our team at Alén Space, and are looking for a Embedded Software Engineer; with passion in what you do , talented and experienced; to lead our Mission Control Center team and help build the future of space technology.What you will be doing?Definition and identification of technical and user requirements.Preparation of software development specifications.Analysis and design of on-board software and firmware.Participation in validation campaigns for software and complete system (TLYF or E2E).What do we need in our teamHands-on experience with microcontroller design flowsEagerness to learnFamiliarity with embedded Linux systemsFluency in EnglishKnowledge of embedded software development tools : C / C++Experience working with GIT repositories and Linux-based operating systemsSome experience with instrumentation equipment (, power supply, multimeter, oscilloscope)Valuable knowledge :Development of custom embedded Linux systems using Buildroot / YoctoSome experience with Python or other scripting languagesExperience in the design of on-board software for spacecraft or critical systemsKnowledge of software development within the FreeRTOS environmentUnderstanding of DSP algorithmsCandidate qualifications and skillsWork remotely 80 % of the timeFlexible start / finish times; reduced intensive working hours on Fridays and in summer Monday to Friday.Competitive compensation with ongoing reviews, flexible compensation .Wellbeing program : Health, dental, and accident insurance; free fruit and coffee, free lunch every friday and much morePersonalized career plan development, training, and language learning supportVery committed to inclusion and diversity; we promote equal opportunities in recruitmentIf you like what you read, then we might have a match.
