Join us at Mimacom as a Data Engineer , and let's create something amazing together What You'll Do As a Data Engineer at Mimacom, you'll design and maintain scalable data solutions that power analytics and machine learning across our projects. Your role will focus on building robust pipelines, optimizing performance, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data quality and governance. Your responsibilities will include: Design and optimize data pipelines for cleaning, integrating, and transforming large datasets. Develop and maintain cloud-based infrastructure using Azure services like Data Factory, Databricks, and Data Lake Storage. Create dimensional data models and data warehouses to support reporting and business intelligence. Write efficient Python, SQL, and PySpark code , ensuring scalability and high performance. Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions. What You'll Need We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented data engineer passionate about building scalable, cloud-based data solutions. Ideally, you bring: ~3+ years of experience designing and maintaining data pipelines in a software engineering environment. ~ Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices such as OOP, TDD, CI/CD, and version control. ~ Proven expertise in PySpark and SQL , including query optimization and understanding Spark internals. ~ Hands-on experience with Azure services like Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, DevOps, and Data Lake Storage. ~ Solid understanding of dimensional data modeling and data warehousing principles. ~ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills , combined with strong communication abilities. ~ Fluent in Spanish and English . ~ Familiarity with containerization tools such as Kubernetes and Docker; experience with Kafka is a plus.
