Responsibilities Accounting : Support the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports, maintain precision across all records, and review financial transactions to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Financial planning, reporting and control : Prepare comprehensive financial reports that give insights into performance, collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support budgeting, track spending and help achieve financial objectives. Financial due diligence and investor relations : Evaluate target companies, assist in financial and tax due diligence for acquisitions and restructurings, prepare documentation for board meetings and manage relationships with banks, investors and institutional stakeholders. Audit preparation : Establish and enhance internal controls, coordinate and facilitate external and internal audit processes. Equity plans : Administer and optimize equity plans, ensure effective execution and respond to Spooners’ equity‑related questions and requests promptly. Fiscal optimisation : Identify fiscal incentives, design the group’s intercompany flow strategy aligned with broader financial goals. Qualifications Reasoning ability : Solve complex problems from first principles, structure ideas sharply, resist biases and focus on key details. Competitive pay : Based on experience, the annual salary ranges from £196,764‑£398,287 in London, €188,848‑€381,878 elsewhere in Europe, with equity options and potential tax incentives. Commitment & Contract Permanent or fixed‑term, full‑time. Location Milan (Italy), London (UK), Madrid (Spain), Warsaw (Poland) or remote in selected countries.
