Senior Systems Engineer

We are an international company with a start‑up mindset, fast, agile, and lean, high performance and value driven.PositionLinux/OS Senior Systems EngineerKey ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support Linux servers, focusing on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).Manage and monitor enterprise storage solutions (Pure Storage, NetApp, Dell).Participate in the implementation and administration of virtualization and container environments (VMware, Nutanix).Develop and execute automation scripts using Ansible, Python and Shell scripts for operational and deployment tasks.Support and manage cloud services within the AWS ecosystem.Apply security best practices and implement robust security measures across Linux systems.Systematically capture and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, and best practices.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on resource optimization and infrastructure scalability.Respond to incidents and ensure timely resolution.Participate in project deployments and ensure smooth execution.Monitor system performance and service availability.Provide technical support to development teams.Participate in 24×7 support shifts as part of the team’s operational coverage.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer engineering, telecommunications or proven work experience.Fluency in English and Spanish.Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux administration (RHEL), including core server BASIS administration functions (installations, configurations, support package update, performance monitoring, tuning, capacity management).Experience in migration of versions with minimum impact.Minimum 5 years of experience in virtualization and scripting.Experience with cloud environments (preferably AWS).Knowledge of programming in Python.Knowledge of Terraform.Managing version control tools like GitHub.Experience with Agile Methodologies.Proficiency in Ansible.Knowledge of storage systems.Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.Strong analytical skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.Collaborative mindset and ability to work well within cross‑functional teams.Critical eye for service quality and drive to identify and implement improvements.High levels of autonomy and proactivity in day‑to‑day tasks.Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies and continuous learning.Genuine interest in technical subjects and infrastructure innovation.Excellent problem‑solving capabilities with a focus on teamwork and results orientation.Clear and effective communication skills, with strong sense of collaboration.LocationMadrid, Community of Madrid, SpainBenefitsLunch included at our canteen ️ – You won’t need to pay for your daily meal when you are at the officeDynamic and vibrant environment – Our office is an open‑plan space where you can interact with the best professionals from different teams at all levels.International stakeholder projectsPeriodic team‑building events – Because it’s important to have funLearning and training programsEEO StatementAt Verisure, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, recognising that diversity of thought and background only makes our teams stronger and more innovative.
