About Enterprise Capabilities Fundamental to our Think and Act Globally strategy and digital adoption, Enterprise Capabilities (EC) is AECOM’s primary vehicle for workshare. Operating across geographic boundaries and time zones, EC partners with regional and Global Business Line project teams to provide technical expertise, accelerate delivery and keep AECOM competitive in the industry. With a team of over 3,000 technical professionals located across nine countries and remote technical anchors, EC teams are trusted to deliver high‑quality, specialist services that help fill capability gaps, resourcing needs and technical constraints on projects of all scopes and sizes. Job Description We are currently recruiting a OLE Engineer with specific expertise in basic design and HSR design, to be based in the Spain Enterprise Capabilities Office in Madrid. This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, incorporating a combination of both in‑office and remote working schedules, as outlined below. The successful candidate will be managing the OLE design activities for international railway projects. Responsibilities Development of technical reports, drawings, layouts, structural design, loading cases… Management of deliverables and development of the documentation associated with the project. Review of technical deliverables. Development of technical specifications. Establishing interfaces with systems/disciplines/stakeholders. Attend interdisciplinary reviews. Management of a project team under his/her supervision. Quality control management. Review of basic design elements. Involvement in the production of biddings and tenders with other disciplines of the Railway Systems department as well as other departments (civils, linear infrastructures…). Qualifications +10 years of experience. Previous experience in OLE/OCS projects (new electrification and renewals) along with an understanding of the railway industry. Proficiency in the use of CAD tools – Microstation / AutoCAD. It is desirable for the candidate to know structural assessment software and BIM environment. English fluently, other languages welcome. Proactive, highly collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills and a good fit with the team. Preferred Qualifications Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering BEng or MEng degree.
