Our expertise includes greenfield developments, retrofits, and facility conversions for data center applications, with comprehensive CAPEX management for our clients.## Job DescriptionAs the Technical Director of Data Centers for Spain, Italy & Portugal you will be responsible for:* Sales: + Actively network, build and develop client relationships across data centres (“DC”) market, + Develop opportunities on the DC Market into proposals and sales, + Liaise with other JLL expertise and departments to build integrated multi-expertise approaches to solve our clients complex problems (Leasing agency, Capital Markets, Sustainability, Consulting, Smart Building, Design&Build etc.), + Lead bid responses on behalf of Project & Development services, confidently deliver client presentations / pitches, + Manage or supervise contract negotiation process until signature.* Management: + Provide technical leadership and oversight for all data center projects within Spain, Portugal, and Italy, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards, + Serve as the primary technical point of contact for data center projects, interacting with clients, internal teams, and external vendors, + Define project scope, objectives, and technical requirements, working closely with project managers to develop comprehensive project plans, + Oversee the technical design and implementation of data center solutions, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and client specifications, + Review drawings, technical specifications and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness, + Provide technical guidance on the selection of equipment, materials, and vendors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality, + Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with data center projects, developing contingency plans and proactive solutions, + Troubleshoot complex technical issues that arise during project execution, providing timely and effective resolution, + Conduct technical reviews of project deliverables, ensuring compliance with quality standards and client expectations, + Coordinate technical activities across multiple project teams, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration, + Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, + Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, and proposals to clients and senior management, + Develop and maintain technical standards, guidelines, and best practices for data center project management, + Ensure that all data center projects adhere to relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards. + Promote the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to improve project efficiency and effectiveness, + Participating in drawing up the development strategy for the Data Centres market: + Lead technical due diligence efforts for potential data center projects, assessing feasibility, risks, and opportunities, + Conduct technical assessments of existing data center facilities, identifying areas for improvement and optimization, + Provide technical expertise in the development of project proposals and bids, ensuring competitive and realistic solutions* Management: + Build and monitor technical objectives for team members, + Organise team staffing, + Ensure rise in expertise and knowledge management, + Innovate in new methodologies and new tools.## have* You hold a degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or equivalent,* You have a significant experience (10 years at least) in a similar role on Data Centers projects management and as a team leader (ideally in a construction companies, real estate services company…),* You have experience in large data center projects and AI systems and technologies.* You are able to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of technical projects, from planning and estimating to execution and delivery,* You have strong technical and management background,* Relevant industry certifications are a plus,* You have an international experience and have fluent knowledge of Spanish and English,* You have excellent organizational skills, are detail-oriented, can work independently and are reliable,* You possess strong interpersonal skills, have an excellent presentation, with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients as well as external team members (architects, contractors, client’s representatives, etc.),* You are a team player and have a proven track record as a business and team leader.**Location:**On-site –Madrid, ESPIf this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the requirements.
