Job Overview We’re looking for a Cover Primary Class Teacher to start as soon as possible at Lady Elizabeth School. Primary Class Teacher Role Profile We provide an enriching education of the highest standard, encouraging pupils to develop a Growth Mindset and become resilient. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver curriculum across Key Stage 1 in line with the Curriculum. Assess pupils’ progress, set realistic targets and adapt lessons accordingly. Use effective teaching and learning strategies and evidence‐based decision making. Maintain a well‑organised, stimulating and positive classroom environment. Lead pupil work and manage the classroom in accordance with school policy. Collate and submit all required pupil progress records. Work as part of the teaching team to support learning during disruptions, including substitution and pastoral duties. Safeguard and welfare of all pupils, keeping up to date with statutory safeguarding guidance. Communicate with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing. Skills, Qualifications and Experience Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – or equivalent, with a university degree. Successful primary teaching experience – either in school or in an approved setting. Knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching and learning strategies. Ability to motivate children of differing abilities and work under pressure. Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to safeguarding and diversity.
