We're Hiring: Freelance HR Operations Specialist (5+ Years Experience) Job Requirement: Freelance / Contract-based Location: Barcelona, Spain Employment Type: Hybrid Experience: 5+ Years in HR Operations We are seeking an experienced Freelance HR Operations professional to build and set up HR operations from scratch for a growing company. If you have successfully designed HR systems, processes, and policies in fast-paced or startup environments, we would like to connect with you. Role Overview: As a Freelance HR Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for establishing the complete HR foundation, ensuring compliance, scalability, and smooth people operations from day one. Key Responsibilities: Set up end-to-end HR operations from scratch Design and implement HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbook Establish onboarding and offboarding processes Manage payroll coordination, attendance, leave, and HRIS setup Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements Create performance management and appraisal frameworks Act as a strategic HR partner to leadership Requirements: 5+ years of experience in HR Operations Proven experience setting up HR systems for startups or new organizations Strong knowledge of Spanish labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices Ability to work independently and deliver with minimal supervision Excellent communication and documentation skills Prior freelance or consulting experience is a plus
