Amadeus Madrid, Community of Madrid, SpainFinancial Accounting Senior Specialist – Amadeus MadridWe are seeking a Financial Accounting Senior Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate revenue and cost accounting, compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS 15), and maintaining data integrity across systems. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support financial accuracy and transparency, contributing to the organization’s overall success.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute Revenue or Variable Costs postings in SAP ensuring alignment with IFRS 15 and internal accounting policies.Handle month‑end closing activities, post any required adjustments, including deferred revenue handling, and system reconciliations.Coordinate with FP&A and other finance teams (central or local) to ensure correct classification of revenues or variable costs.Ensure data integrity from upstream such as billing, iPPM, to the General Ledger and reporting systems, especially for Implementations and Service & Consulting streams or in complex scenarios mixing Intercompany flows within bundled services.Monitor and resolve misalignments in revenue recognition across regions and entities, including non‑SAP entities.About Ideal CandidateBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related fieldAt least 5‑7 years of experience in accountingProven experience in financial accounting, with strong knowledge of IFRS 15.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an Advanced level is requiredProficiency in SAP -FI module and familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools.Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and regions.What We Can Offer YouA complete rewards offer – Amadeus provides attractive remuneration packages, covering all essential components of a competitive reward offer.A truly global DNA – Everything at Amadeus is global, from our people to our business, which translates into our footprint, processes, and culture.Great opportunities to learn – Learning happens all the time and in many ways at Amadeus, through on‑the‑job training, formal learning activities, and day‑to‑day interactions with colleagues.A caring environment – Amadeus fosters a caring environment, nurturing both a fulfilling career and personal and family life.
