MGI produces sequencing devices, equipment, consumables, and reagents based on its proprietary technology to support lifescience research, medicine, and healthcare. We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Field Service Engineer to provide both onsite and remote service and support for our customers. In this role, you will troubleshoot and maintain Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) instruments, ensuring optimal system performance. You will also collaborate with various teams to enhance service quality and customer experience. Responsibilities Maintain accurate documentation of service activities. Coordinate service tasks with site personnel and ensure smooth operation. Provide technical phone support and assistance to customers. Assist in resolving technical issues before sequencing system installations. Train colleagues and partners on NGS sequencing system maintenance and servicing. Develop and update service instruction documentation. Recommend design improvements to enhance system reliability, serviceability, and user experience. Support manufacturing operations as required. Uphold strict confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information, including personnel matters, legal documents, financial data, contracts, and other proprietary information. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience: Proven experience in servicing electro-mechanical systems; prior experience with medical devices is a plus. Customer Focus: Outstanding customer service skills with a professional demeanor. Software Proficiency: Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Knowledge of the local language is mandatory, along with good English skills (both written and verbal).
