Context And Mission BSC-CNS, a leading research organization, is seeking a highly motivated and talented Junior IP Lawyer/Legal Officer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reviewing contracts and/or agreements, a deep understanding of intellectual property law and a willingness to learn about currently evolving legal frameworks and their application to new technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly talented legal professional to gain experience and develop their skills in a dynamic and innovative environment. You will also work closely with other members of the legal team under the supervision of the Senior IP Legal Officer and General Counsel within the Management Department.This project is funded by the European Union’s Recovery and Resilience Facility, in accordance with Council Regulation (EU) 2020/2094 of 14 December 2020, and regulated by Regulation (EU) 2021/241 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 February 2021, in the context of the “BSC AI Factory” project.The BSC AI Factory project has received funding from the European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (JU) under grant agreement No . The JU receives support from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme and Spain, Portugal, and Türkiye.For more information, please check: Key Duties Review, draft, and negotiate research contracts, master services agreements, framework agreements and similar documents, with a focus on IP clauses. Must be able to analyse, detect and address issues in any related documentation, which might be of a technical nature. Offer legal counsel and guidance on intellectual property matters such as open source software licenses, data mining, artificial intelligence, trade secrets, academic and commercial licenses, as well as Creative Commons licenses.
