Overview Continuous Improvement Engineer role at Page Personnel. The position is based in Baix Llobregat (Barcelona) with a focus on improving plant production and maintenance processes to drive operational efficiency through process management and optimization. The company is undergoing a digital transformation with projects to digitize production processes, capture plant data, and optimize product management. The culture emphasizes continuous improvement, cross‑department collaboration, and process standardization. Reporting to the Plant Director, you will collaborate with plant management and department heads on development projects in the maintenance area (preventive maintenance, trend analysis, spare parts management) and in production or prepress (trend analysis, optimization projects). Your main responsibilities include: Responsibilities Lead & develop projects/new ways of working in the maintenance area. Manage and/or participate in improvement/development projects on production/printing lines (productivity and quality). Monitor Maintenance and Production KPIs and analyze them with department heads. Collaborate in managing various certifications within scope: ensure compliance with Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Chain of Custody (PEFC/FSC) standards in the production area. Collaborate and design the maintenance department strategy (structure, roles, key KPIs to measure performance). Lead and manage continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing plant productivity (LEAN manufacturing, Six Sigma). Collaborate with department heads in the implementation of digitalization projects . Acting as backup for the Maintenance Manager . Academic background in Technical Engineering or similar (specialization in industrial processes or digitization is a plus). At least 3 years of experience in industrial environments, ideally in production or process improvement. Previous experience with tools such as DACO, MES, CMMS, or plant digitization projects is a plus. English level of at least B2. Strong analytical and process conceptualization skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. Communication and teamwork skills. Proactivity, foresight, and results orientation. Ability to manage and coordinate work groups on the shop floor.
