Senior AI Integration Engineer

In addition to the "classic" technological challenges, we are accelerating the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in our products and in our way of working: from AI-assisted design and development to intelligent observability and the automation of operational tasks.To achieve this, we are looking for people who share our constant curiosity, passion for technology, who want to break paradigms and have a strategic vision.At NTT DATA, we are looking for people to help professionalise and globalise NTT DATA’s digital assets by embedding Agentic / GenAI capabilities into multi-tenant, enterprise SaaS products. You’ll own one or more end-to-end AI integrations, acting as the technical glue between (a) each asset’s product/engineering team and (b) our offshore delivery teams, while aligning everything to the architecture defined by our Core AI Platform team (Director, TPM, Chief Technical Architect). This is a hands-on senior engineering role with strong delivery ownership.What would your mission be?In your day-to-day work, you will be responsible for:• Own integrations: Take full technical ownership of one or more AI/agentic use cases per asset—from discovery to go-live and handover.• Align on architecture: Translate agreed reference architectures into executable designs; review PRDs/ADRs; drive trade-offs (latency, cost, privacy, multi-tenancy).• Be the interface: Serve as day-to-day technical counterpart for each asset team; ensure their product changes and our cross-asset AI components fit cleanly.• Lead offshore delivery: Keep the offshore team’s backlog healthy; clarify requirements; unblock efficiently; enforce engineering quality.• Build & integrate: Deliver reference implementations, SDKs, APIs, and adapters (e.g., RAG pipelines, agent workflows, eval/guardrails, observability hooks).• Engineer for scale: Design for multi-tenant SaaS (rate limits, isolation, concurrency, cost controls, canarying, rollback strategies, SLOs).• Security & compliance: Apply security-by-design, privacy-by-design, and responsible-AI controls (PII handling, model safety filters, auditability).• Quality & reliability: Define test strategies (unit, contract, load, eval suites); add tracing/metrics; establish runbooks and on-call expectations with assets.• Delivery cadence: Create realistic plans and milestones; report progress/risks; manage dependencies across assets and vendors.• Knowledge sharing: Produce crisp docs (design notes, playbooks, integration guides) and mentor engineers across time zones.What do we expect from you?• Senior software engineer with ~7+ years building cloud products/APIs; 2+ years integrating LLM/GenAI in production.• Hands-on cloud experience on Azure (preferred) and/or AWS/GCP; containerisation/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes); IaC (Terraform/Bicep).• Strong with at least one of Python / TypeScript / Java and modern API design (REST/GraphQL), messaging (Kafka/Pub/Sub), and caching (Redis).• Practical GenAI stack: LLM providers (Azure OpenAI/Bedrock/Vertex), RAG (vector DBs such as PGVector/Pinecone/Milvus/Azure AI Search), prompt/agent orchestration (e.g., LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, LangChain), guardrails & safety.• Architecture & delivery: capable of breaking down ambiguous use cases into clear designs, backlogs, and increments; excellent stakeholder management.• Multi-tenant readiness: experience with tenancy models, rate limiting, cost and quota governance, and tenant-level observability.• Quality mindset: contract testing, CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps), feature flags, blue/green / canary deploys, telemetry (OpenTelemetry).• Security & data privacy: OAuth/OIDC, KMS/Key Vault, secrets management, GDPR-aware data flows.• Distributed collaboration: proven success coordinating offshore teams and working across time zones; crisp, assertive communication in English.What can we offer you?Permanent contract with annual salary and career reviews.Access to our NTT DATA University training platform (technical, methodological, language, and soft skills training).Hybrid work and flexible hours for better work-life balance.Intensive work schedule (8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) on Fridays and during the summer.Corporate benefits: additional salary supplements, flexible compensation, health insurance, etc.Global Top Employer 2025 — for the 10th consecutive year in Spain.Solidarity programs and social activities through our volunteer portal, The Blue Wave, driving positive impact.Diverse innovation and an inclusive culture: at NTT DATA, we believe that every person is unique.
