It’s through our work that AstraZeneca can ensure the right access is provided to our transformative medicines.Alexion AstraZeneca’s Rare Disease Global Value Access and Pricing (GVAP) team is seeking a qualified individual to be part of a dynamic and growing team with responsibility for pricing implementation and governance.The purpose of this role is to enhance the competitive advantage and performance of Alexion AstraZeneca's Rare Disease brands by optimizing pricing strategies and supporting reimbursement decisions at both local and global levels. This position will lead pricing governance for Alexion portfolio, analytics and management reporting.The Global Pricing Implementation and Analytics Lead will work in close collaboration with the GVAP TA teams and Head of GVAP.You will be responsible for:Pricing policy and governanceLead and coordinate rare diseases pricing governance and processesEnsure adherence to the established pricing policy and governance processes to effectively implement pricing strategies. Monitor compliance with pricing frameworks and maintain a robust internal control environment over processes and data.Engage with markets pro-actively to support the optimal implementation of pricing policies and provide support in local pricing capability developmentProvide country specific input to Global pricing policies for new product launchesSupport internal audits processPricing Analysis & ReportingResponsible for coordinating content of quarterly reporting of pricing performance (incl business cases) for senior management. Lead and coordinate content update of related pricing performance report and executive dashboardPricing analysisManage the operational pricing and reimbursement implementationPerform ad-hoc analysis to evaluate the pricing implications of external events and pricing environment policy changesPerform regular competition pricing analysis across Therapeutic areasPerform across countries comparative pricing analysis (ALXN in line products and competition) to support senior management in their global RD pricing strategy updatesLiaise with Finance team to reconcile the actual realized prices in finance system versus the approved prices in PRICEProvide forward looking analysis and insights into the future of price assumptions for the ALXN Rare diseases product portfolio (in line and pipeline) through gross price modelling analysisLead and support execution of pricing strategies in collaboration with GVAP complement and Metabolic teams and country pricing teamsSupport the development of launch sequence, target prices and negotiation strategies to optimize pricing and reimbursement conditions in the local markets and across complement and Metabolic therapeutic areasMonitor realized impact of the endorsed pricing actions to modify future decision makingYou will need to have:Relevant Graduate degree eg. PharmD, biomedical science, business, or economics.Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry in business related roles5-10 years of pricing and reimbursement experienceUnderstanding of pricing, legal, regulatory and reimbursement issues across key markets and their impactAbility to handle complex problem solving (involving many decision-makers and multiple, creative solutions) including impact of environment regulation changes on pricing policyAbility to communicate complex access and pricing challenges simply and clearly across business stakeholdersWe would prefer for you to have:Experience in a pricing / market access function locally or regionallyUnderstanding of pricing and reimbursement processes in major marketsStrong analytical skillsAttention to detailsNegotiating experience with payersExcellence and precision in communication: credible and persuasiveAlexion is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affinitive Action employer.
