WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Senior Full-Stack Java Developer – European Institutions | Energy Sector Project (On-site in Luxembourg) We are looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Java Developer to join a highly secure and structured IT environment within an important European Institution, supporting critical systems for the energy sector. You will be part of a long-standing project focused on the development, evolution, and maintenance of Oracle web and Java-based information systems. The role also involves integrating these systems into a broader, sensitive IT infrastructure, ensuring strict compliance, traceability, and security requirements. This is a replacement position following the resignation of the current consultant, and it is considered urgent to maintain service continuity. YOUR TASKS Full-stack development using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and PL/SQL technologies. Contribute to the maintenance, evolution, and integration of Oracle web-based information systems. Translate functional requirements into technical solutions. Participate in all development phases: analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support. Produce documentation, technical specifications, and operational manuals. Ensure integration with the overall IT architecture. Collaborate with other developers, testers, system architects, and business analysts. Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and performance optimization. Ensure security, traceability, and compliance across applications. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE At least 15 years of professional experience in software development. Proficient in: Java (including back-end development with Spring Boot) HTML, JavaScript, Angular PL/SQL Experience working with Oracle databases. Strong knowledge of secure web application design and deployment practices. Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines in a sensitive and secure IT environment. Fluency in English (C1). French (B2 or higher) is considered an asset. EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS University degree (minimum EQF Level 6 – Bachelor's degree). Candidates with lower formal education must demonstrate additional relevant professional experience as per EU standards. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Contract Type: Permanent employment or freelance contract with a leading European technology consultancy. Location: Luxembourg City. Work Mode: On-site, 5 days per week. If the selected applicant lives further than 2 hours from the work location, relocation will be required. Start Date: ASAP (replacement role).
