Lead Tableau DeveloperThis is a hands-on, high-impact role with a fast-paced tech consultancy, helping steer a critical Tableau transformation project. You'll be central to shaping a scalable analytics platform, working at the cutting edge of data, automation, and cloud.Role Overview:Location: Remote (UK hours)- Preference for candidates based in Romania, Portugal, Spain or Sweden.Contract Length: 2 months with potential for extensionPackage: €500-650 per dayIndustry: Technology & Data ConsultancyWhat You'll Be Doing:Leading the migration of a complex Tableau estate from AWS to Google Cloud.Designing automation pipelines to update Tableau content at scale without compromising integrity.Integrating authentication flows between ForgeRock, Tableau, and BigQuery.Building out migration tools using Tableau REST API, scripting languages (Python/PowerShell), and CI/CD.Working closely with data engineers to optimise BigQuery datasets and cost performance for Tableau use.Owning testing, validation, and cutover planning — including rollback strategies and defect triage.Providing technical guidance and documentation to support long-term platform stability.Main Skills Needed:Proven experience leading Tableau Server migrations between cloud platforms (AWS to GCP a must).Deep hands-on knowledge of Tableau automation, including scripting XML updates and using Tableau REST API.Strong understanding of identity integration (ForgeRock, SAML/OIDC) and secure cloud access controls.Solid command of GCP and AWS services, especially BigQuery, IAM, and networking.Proficient in Python and/or PowerShell; confident with Tableau Server admin tools and CI/CD deployment practices.Strong documentation, testing, and stakeholder management skills.Availability to work UK business hours.What's in It for You:A fully remote contract with a global, high-growth tech consultancy.Long-term potential and autonomy in a lead role.Exposure to a high-profile enterprise transformation project.Join a smart, collaborative team with access to modern tech stacks and tools.Careers move fast.
