Sr. Finance Analyst

DescriptionAs a Senior Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in building trusted partnerships with business leaders across the organization. You will provide objective, data-driven insights to support strategic decision‑making and evaluate business performance. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the corporate FP&A team and report directly to the Finance Director for Southern Europe.ResponsibilitiesFinance Business Partnering with the Key Relevant StakeholdersBe a main finance contact of the business and interface for the function counterparts with respect to Finance, Accounting, and Controlling topicsWork with management and support the Finance Director to prepare monthly forecast, annual budgeting, and mid‑term planning in collaboration with functional leadsLead the commission calculation process in close alignment with the Sales Directors of Italy and Iberia and the Finance Director Southern EuropeLead the target‑setting process in close alignment with the Sales Directors of Italy and Iberia and the Finance Director Southern EuropePerform ad‑hoc analysis related to the business (discount trends by product or customer group, variance analysis, ASP management, etc.) and prepare reports with respective resultsIdentify risks & opportunities and provide decision support to Sales and MarketingImprove the efficiency of forecasting processes and tools as requiredPartner with local management to provide strategic financial insights, ensuring a deep understanding of business dynamics and their financial implicationsDrive the month‑end accruals process to ensure operating expenses are accurate & complete, prepare journal entries for SAP upload and perform and verify reconciliationsProvide commentary for monthly business reviews of the businessCoordinate with other departments (not limited to Accounting, Legal, Business Development, etc.) on any ad‑hoc, local related topics/projectsMonitor the progress of internal projects to ensure deadlines are met and objectives are achievedQualificationsMin. 6+ years of experienceBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business AdministrationStrong foundation in Accounting and Financial PlanningFinancial modeling and other Excel and PowerPoint‑based skillsHands‑on mentality and strong organizational and communication skillsStrong collaboration skills to work with internal and external stakeholdersUnderstanding of operational, budgeting and reporting processes and databasesVery good English and Spanish skillsExperience in major ERP software (preferably SAP and BI) is a plusDetailsDepartment: FinanceLocation: EMEA-SpainEqual Opportunity StatementAlign Technology is an equal opportunity employer.
