Postdoc Bioinformatician - Nextflow - Barcelona

Postdoc Bioinformatician with platform development and data analysis experience, working on inflammatory and immune-based diseases.

Location: Barcelona, Spain
Salary: up to €50,000 depending on experience

Interesting and challenging new role for a Postdoc Bioinformatician to work in a rapidly growing, exciting organization in a team of talented and experienced bioinformaticians and genomic scientists.

Using Nextflow, you will be involved in the pipeline development for multi-level biological data including RNA-seq, GWAS, proteomics, metagenomics, epigenomics, and single-cell RNA-seq. The role also requires you to be involved in the analysis of different types of data generated from patients.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience of both pipeline development AND data analysis
  • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science or similar
  • Experience in analysis of new high throughput data types (NGS, Genetics, Cytomics, Proteomics) is highly desirable, as is a background in human diseases, ideally inflammatory/immune-based
  • Ability to handle large-scale biological datasets
  • Experience in R programming is essential. Nextflow experience would be highly advantageous
