Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona is an exclusive 5‑star hotel located on Barcelona’s Passeig de Gràcia, surrounded by iconic modernist architecture and the artistic legacy of Gaudí. The hotel features 120 rooms, 28 of which are suites designed by Patricia Urquiola, exceptional gastronomic concepts including a 2‑Michelin‑star restaurant, a refined cocktail bar, the Mimosa garden, and a rooftop terrace with panoramic views. The Spa offers 8 treatment rooms, an indoor pool and a gym. Based at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona and reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Finance is responsible for leading the overall financial strategy and operations of the hotel. This includes financial planning, compliance, reporting, purchasing, cost control and IT oversight, ensuring all activities align with MOHG standards and local regulations. The Director of Finance plays a key leadership role within the Executive Committee and acts as a strategic business partner to support decision‑making and drive financial performance. As Director of Finance, you will be responsible for: Leading the Finance Department, including accounting, purchasing and IT teams. Providing timely and detailed financial insights to the General Manager and Corporate Office. Monitoring business performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending proactive actions. Ensuring robust internal controls, audit compliance and adherence to financial policies. Managing cash flow, working capital and long‑term financial planning. Budgeting & Forecasting Leading the hotel’s annual budgeting process. Monitoring contract compliance and supplier performance. Acting as a trusted business partner to the General Manager and Executive Committee. Supporting strategic decisions with clear financial analysis and scenario planning. Contributing to the overall commercial strategy of the hotel. Leading, mentoring and developing finance team members. Promoting alignment with Mandarin Oriental’s values and service philosophy. As Director of Finance, we expect from you: University degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior finance leadership role within luxury hospitality. Strong knowledge of tax, statutory and regulatory requirements in Spain. Fluency in English required; Spanish highly desirable. Learning platform with personalised training plans.
