Postdoctoral Researcher (Ref: Postdoc RM)The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Martín research group. The position will be funded by Project PDC -I00 financed by MCIU/AEI.Project DescriptionICIQ is looking for a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Ruben Martin. The candidate will focus on the potential of chain-walking reactions to enable a series of unconventional bond-forming reactions at remote sites for the late‑stage diversification of macromolecules.ResponsibilitiesConduct independent research in the field of chain‑walking catalysis.Collaborate with group members and the larger project team.Publish results in high-impact journals and present them at conferences.RequirementsPhD in chemistry (or a closely related discipline) at the start of the contract.Solid and proven track record in organometallic chemistry, particularly Ni‑catalyzed cross‑coupling reactions and chain‑walking scenarios.Submission of a CV, cover letter and a short description of previous research; at least two referees willing to provide recommendation letters.Proficiency in English.Offer and Benefits3‑year full‑time contract.Remuneration commensurate with experience.Annual salary paid in twelve monthly installments.Official incorporation: February 2026.Selection ProcessPre‑selection based on CVs (merit‑based).Interview with the Hiring Manager and the Selection Committee.Offer letter specifying start date, salary and job conditions.Equal Opportunity and Recruitment PrinciplesICIQ follows the principles of Open, Transparent and Merit‑based Recruitment (OTM‑R) and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers as established by the European Commission.
