Ability to work productively in remote cross-functional teams or resourcefully and independently as an individual Highly service-oriented, reliable, responsible, self-motivated Good English command Role Responsibilities Act as HW support expert liaison to other technical teams & non-technical teams (.: networking, compute, compliance, business operations) Understand internal customer problems and provide technical solution in timely manner Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware at Oracle data centers System board level repair and fault diagnosis to SLAs Planning and commissioning new rack positions Involvement with the design and commissioning of new whitespaces Structured cabling installation is a significant part of this position Keep up with the latest technologies and apply them appropriately Adherence to defined Health & Safety processes at all times Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team without friction Available to travel in EMEA Daily Job Duties: Hardware installation & decommission of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure. Troubleshooting and repair of data center hardware and networking infrastructure. Rack and stack of data center equipment, including but not limited to servers, networking devices, monitoring systems, and other equipment. Rack installation including putting racks in place, cabling, power up, and hand-off of servers to internal provisioning teams. Monitoring of DC environments using monitoring tools. Monitoring and responding in a ticketing environment that is used and monitored by multiple internal Oracle Cloud service owners and teams. Documentation of activities and strict alignment to SOP’s. Decommission life cycle of data center hardware. Inventory process, order replacement parts, and return failed parts as required. Structured cabling, labeling, and troubleshooting of fiber/copper/telecom cables. System power supplies and cabling install, troubleshooting, and repair. You should be able to complete small projects on your own and work with your manager in planning and completing larger local projects.
