Job Description

Your Mission:

As a Maintenance Technician at Ibis Styles Madrid Airport Valdebebas , your mission will be to ensure that all facilities are in perfect working order, meeting deadlines (especially legal ones) and ensuring a safe and efficient environment for both our guests and team. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Preventive and Corrective Maintenance : Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and industrial refrigeration systems, following an established maintenance plan.
  2. Management of External Companies : Coordinate and manage visits from external companies, handling budgets, scheduling, and monitoring the work performed.
  3. Legal Deadlines Compliance : Ensure all maintenance activities comply with established deadlines, particularly those that are legally required.
  4. Facility Inspections : Perform regular inspections of the hotel facilities, identifying and resolving potential issues before they affect operations.
  5. Development and Control of Procedures : Develop and control maintenance procedures, ensuring they are implemented effectively and comply with quality and safety standards.
  6. Administrative Tasks : Handle administrative tasks for the department, including work documentation, maintenance reports, and inventory tracking.
  7. Budget Management : Oversee the department’s budget, ensuring proper control of expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  8. Compliance with Regulations : Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities.
  9. Energy Savings : Implement best practices for energy optimization within the hotel’s facilities.
Qualifications

About You:

We are looking for a professional who is organized, solution-oriented, and capable of making decisions, someone comfortable working autonomously and managing both operational and administrative tasks. These are the qualities we seek in you:

  1. Organized and Autonomous : You can manage your time effectively, prioritize tasks, and ensure all maintenance activities are completed on time and to a high standard.
  2. Proactive and Solution-Oriented : You don’t wait for problems to arise; you anticipate needs and act quickly to resolve any technical issues.
  3. Analytical and Prioritization Skills : You approach problems analytically, identify failures, and propose solutions, prioritizing tasks according to urgency and importance.

  5. Budget Control and Management : You have experience controlling maintenance department expenses and managing budgets efficiently.
  6. Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
