Overview Senior Software Engineer - AI Authentication (Auth for GenAI) Okta is The World’s Identity Company. We free everyone to safely use any technology, anywhere, on any device or app. We offer secure access, authentication, and automation through our Okta Platform and Auth0 Platform, placing identity at the core of business security and growth. We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to join our AI Authentication team – a group of product-minded, deeply technical engineers delivering features to define what identity and access mean in a world increasingly powered by artificial intelligence. Auth0 Emerging Tech is the Engineering organization where we ship fast, we don’t break things. We are a dynamic, distributed, diverse team that values ownership, learning and innovation. We launched our Auth for GenAI offering and are looking for an Engineer II to join us to lead the team taking care of the Identity Protocols parts of the game. Auth0 works with NodeJS (JavaScript or TypeScript), with a hint of Go and MongoDB or PostgreSQL databases. Build and maintain scalable services using TypeScript, NodeJS, and PostgreSQL/MongoDB Collaborate with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to deliver features that improve identity and access for GenAI applications Contribute to observability and alerting systems to ensure reliability and performance of our services Solid programming experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with NodeJS runtime environments Practical experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (preferably Postgres and MongoDB) Ability to write well-tested, high-quality code Systematic problem-solving approach with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership Experience with architecture principles across infrastructure, security, data, integration, and application layers Understanding of IAM concepts Experience working on Identity and Access Management software and concepts Knowledge of observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry What you can look forward to as a Full-Time Okta employee Making Social Impact Some roles may require travel to office locations for in-person onboarding.
