Advocacy and External Relations Specialist Share The Pasqual Maragall Foundation was created in 2008 with the mission of promoting and developing excellent biomedical research. The Foundation is fully committed to being instrumental in contributing to global solutions to the problem of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, as well as to raising social awareness to ensure that scientific support for these challenges receives the appropriate priority. The Foundation's research is conducted at the Barcelonaßeta Brain Research Center (BBRC), a research center established with the participation of Pompeu Fabra University and "la Caixa." The Pasqual Maragall Foundation's vision is to achieve "A future without Alzheimer's," within the framework of active and healthy aging associated with positive experiences and freedom from problems and cognitive decline. To this end, BBRC research focuses on the primary and secondary prevention of Alzheimer's disease, which is made possible through the participation of thousands of people who voluntarily contribute to scientific studies aimed at achieving far fewer people with the disease in the near future. The Pasqual Maragall Foundation is a private, non-profit organization. Its financial resources come from philanthropic donations from organizations and companies, as well as from an extensive network of more than 90,000 members who contribute to funding its research. The research center's scientific staff also compete for grants and subsidies, primarily from European funds and international foundations. The FPM team encompasses diverse areas of infrastructure, systems, finance, purchasing, human resources, communications, advocacy, and philanthropic fundraising. The BBRC's scientific team is comprised of researchers and professionals in the fields of medicine, biology, psychology, and nursing, among others. The selected candidate will be part of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation's Advocacy and Institutional Relations Department, contributing to the development of the area's strategy and lines of action in advocacy, public affairs, and institutional relations. Their goal will be to raise awareness about the impact of Alzheimer's and dementia, and to position these issues on the political and institutional agenda. Design and develop a strategy to position the Foundation in the field of Alzheimer's, dementia, and aging at European and international levels: Write analyses, reports, presentations and strategic documents. Participate in the definition and execution of the annual plan for public advocacy, external projection, and institutional relations: Design and implement actions to raise awareness of the cause and position the Foundation among political representatives, institutions, and organizations in the scientific, healthcare, and social fields. Promote, coordinate, and monitor partnerships with organizations in the fields of Alzheimer's, dementia, and senior living. Promote and monitor institutional representation in national and international forums, networks, and platforms. ~ Coordinate with other areas and professionals of the Foundation (Communications, Legal, Social Area, Fundraising, etc.) Degree in Social Sciences (Political Science, Journalism, Economics, etc.). Fluent in Catalan and Spanish. Advanced level of English (minimum C1). Consolidated experience in advocacy or public affairs. Immediate incorporation. Permanent contract. Flexible hours.
