Senior Finance Manager/Head of Finance, AWS Asia Sales FinanceAmazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Finance Manager to be the CFO for the Japan and Australia/New Zealand Sales business. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing divisions within Amazon. As a Senior Finance Manager, you will work closely with business leaders to develop financial models and analytical insights to assist in evaluating new business concepts, turning insights into operational measurements, and identifying paths to improve the overall productivity and strategy of the business.Primary responsibilities includeLead short and long-term financial planningOwns and drives all aspects of the P&LValidate, quantify and drive for new business conceptsPresent financial summary and business insights to senior managementTighten internal controls for program spending, revenue reporting and overall operating spendThe successful candidate will have shown experiences in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision-making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self-starter with strong influencing skills, a keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.Basic QualificationsBA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business and/or similar discipline with analytical work10+ years’ relevant experience in corporate financeAdvanced financial modeling skills in Excel (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots)Demonstrated effective communication skills across peer groups and senior managementAbility to maintain a high level of attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to meet tight deadlineExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsExperience leading, developing and managing teams experienceBusiness level or above English language skillsPreferred Qualifications5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experienceMBA, or CPAYour inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
