Hardware Design Engineer (H/F) – COMPUTADORAS, REDES E INGENIERÍA, SAJob Description: Several positions of Hardware Design Engineer are now open in Airbus CRISA (Airbus Defense & Space) in Tres Cantos (Madrid area) for different Space business areas: Launchers, Earth Exploration (Copernicus), Space Exploration (Artemis), and Commercial (Telecommunications Satellites).ResponsibilitiesState-of-the-art product consolidation.Continuous performance improvement.Supporting the Technical and Test Managers for the analysis of project requirements.Architecture analysis at electronic function or module level.Detailed electronics design based on electrical simulations at function level.Assuring the robustness of the design by means of part stress analysis, worst-case analysis, failure-modes and criticality analysis, power‑budget analysis, and Double Insulation requirements compliance.For flight design, supporting the Radiation Team to ensure robustness within the radiation space environment including Single Events Effects (SEE).Documenting the design.Laboratory and prototype testing.Assuring mechanical and thermal design robustness by supporting the Packaging Team.Supporting the PCB CAD team during PCB design by reviewing the PCB layout.Defining board test procedures.Supporting the Technical Manager in the main project reviews (Requirement Review, Preliminary and Architecture Review, Critical Design Review, etc.).Characterizing the design.Supporting the Test Team for the acceptance of flight equipment, monitoring changes, evolutions or discrepancies from the agreed baseline in the characterization phase.Supporting the Technical Manager in the resolution of board NCRs (Non‑conformance) raised during qualification or acceptance test campaigns.QualificationsMaster’s degree level (or equivalent) in engineering or science discipline.Proven experience in the development of one or more of the following functions: Power, Analog or Digital electronics.Proven experience using advanced laboratory instrumentation.Good knowledge of design methodologies for space application and tools (Mentor, LTSpice, Matlab, SIMetrix‑SIMPLIS).Sound mathematical basis for its application to electronic design analysis.English and Spanish at least mid‑level, both written and spoken.Good communication and reporting skills.Strong team‑working and cooperation spirit.Independent and accurate way of working.Other Recommended SkillsDigital mindset (automation of tasks, scripting, use of digital design tools and simulators).Knowledge of space environment constraints.Familiarity with Agile methodologies.For candidates with power & analog skills: experience on designs using digital control techniques.For candidates with digital skills: experience on designs based on hardware‑software interfaces.Fast prototyping techniques.Happy to learn and teach others.Feel like you can’t tick some boxes above?
