Cloud‑Edge Systems Engineering Advisor (Contractor)OpenNebula Systems – European open‑source leader in cloud and edge infrastructure. Closing Date: 8 January 2026, 06:00 PM CETPublication Date: 12 December 2025 Location: Remote (occasional face‑to‑face coordination meetings)Duration: 16 January 2026 – 30 June 2026 (≈5 months)Budget: Maximum hourly rate 30 EUR (full price, excluding VAT); up to 1,800 work hours per year. Objective: Provide advisory and support services in security and sustainability of the DC‑Cloud‑Edge management layer in multi‑vendor scenarios. Collaborate with software engineers, system architects, and project leads to ensure alignment with project objectives. Responsibilities Provide expert guidance on the security and sustainability aspects for architecture and lifecycle management of cloud‑edge systems across heterogeneous environments (low‑resource, 5G, high‑performance). Advise on the design and validation of the management layer for the DC‑Cloud‑Edge continuum within ONEnextgen. Support the documentation and structuring of technical deliverables, ensuring they meet quality, coherence, and interoperability standards. Assist in the review and refinement of deployment scenarios, integration workflows, and performance considerations related to multi‑vendor, distributed infrastructures. Offer technical input on Release Notes, Use Case implementations, and infrastructure blueprints, ensuring accurate reflection of system behaviour. Contribute to the evaluation of emerging technologies and architectural decisions in coordination with product and engineering teams. Support knowledge
