The Position The Cross Categories Procurement Operations team is enabling the Delivery Procurement capability by focusing on continuous improvement and excellence of core procurement processes and solutions that underlie the execution of procurement activities like category management, sourcing, supplier management, contracting, and content management. This role also performs, guides and supports various Global Procurement and site‑specific operations management activities per the assigned scope. The capability owns the procurement process and system for the Delivery sites, provides subject matter expertise on various areas like upstream, downstream, direct procurement, content and e‑sourcing, and has oversight on the deployment and adoption of the various processes and systems by the Delivery capability to advance toward the chapter vision. The capability also provides general Delivery execution support as needed. This position is part of the Procurement Operations Cross‑Categories team reporting into the Cross‑Category Operations Management Team Lead. Responsibilities Act as domain knowledge and subject matter specialist, providing input, advice, and know‑how on functional operations, automation, efficiency and procurement processes. Identify and facilitate continuous improvement opportunities and oversee Procurement delivery day‑to‑day operations. Advocate harmonization of upstream practices and maximization of downstream automation, delivering end‑to‑end procurement processes and solutions within the Delivery Chapter and driving continuous improvement. Coordinate the identification, consolidation, validation and submission of site‑specific process and systems maintenance and enhancement requests for ongoing improvement; conduct and support user acceptance testing as needed. Lead and/or support the implementation of and compliance with regional process and policy changes, including local process documentation updates, localisation and training. Manage, oversee and support operational Procurement audit compliance (vendor add/change audit activities, banking information verification audit and other operational audit support). Provide input into systems settings, including relevant local data, organisational set‑ups (e.g. purchasing group, routing logic) and other information needed to operationalise systems. Assist with complex purchasing and guide Shared Service Center (Roche Services and Solutions) escalations as appropriate. Conceptualise and prototype ideas by creating basic tools in partnership with stakeholders and procurement teams. Qualifications Hold a university degree, with a business or information technology degree preferable. Have 9+ years within procurement‑operational procurement, technology management or process management, ideally in a matrix organisation, and demonstrate deep conceptual knowledge and experience of procurement practices, processes and solution management and oversight. Ability to explain procurement operations and translate moderately complex stakeholder requirements. Understanding of local process/system variations while maintaining a global process perspective. Experience with Procurement Requisition, Procure‑to‑Pay processes and enterprise P2P/e‑Sourcing systems. Experience in leading or supporting value‑improvement initiatives using Lean, Agile or Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Enterprise mindset with a strong focus on collaboration across the procurement network and broader organisation to deliver value‑driven solutions. Business‑level fluency in English (German is a plus for some roles). Benefits Annual bonus
