When you join our global team, you’ll be a part of a diverse group of individuals passionate about serving and enabling our communities to celebrate the moments that make us.ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:As a temporary member of our digital editorial team in France, the Editor will be responsible for ideating, writing and producing shoppable content to engage, educate and inspire mariages.net consumer audience during life’s major milestones. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented editor who is comfortable writing and producing content that will perform across several marketing channels, with a particular emphasis on SEO.We’re looking for someone who will think strategically about how editorial content can drive conversions for our owned and operated e-commerce products as well as third-party partners. A strong work ethic, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, a passion for learning new skills and a positive attitude are all necessities.RESPONSIBILITIES:Pitch, write and produce SEO-driven articles every week forIdentify wedding and lifestyle trends and pitch relevant ideas that place Mariages.net and the group, at the forefront of an evolving content landscapeAudit existing content on Mariages.net to identify opportunities to update and further optimize articlesConduct keyword research to track performance as well as identify new content opportunitiesAnalyze content metrics and performance, gleaning insights and applying learnings to better inform future contentWork with other colleagues, teams and departments to create strategic content opportunitiesConduct photo researchRepresent the brand as one of the voices of mariages.net with inspirational and signature contentStay current on weddings, lifestyle and media industriesSUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field. Previous experience working for an online magazine = huge plus.Exceptional writing skills. 1-3 years professional experience writing for an online brand or digital publication. If you are an expert and have authority in lifestyle, weddings, influencers, fashion… we want youYou will sign the articles with your name so we need you to fall in love with mariages.net and be able to represent the brand and its values in France, and around the worldExperience working in a team, as well as experience collaborating cross-functionally with other teams on projects and initiativesAn extreme attention to detailStrong commitment to hitting deadlines, accuracy and professionalismAn understanding of SEO best practices and keyword targeting. Experience writing search-optimized copy is necessary.Ability to multitask, stay organized and adapt in a fast-paced environmentCreativity with a wealth of fun and new ideas, dream bigAn understanding of how different media consumption channels impact and inform content outputExperience working within a CMS (text / content management tools)Experience with Skimlinks, AWIN, Google Analytics, Semrush and/or other analytic toolsBasic knowledge of Photoshop or other photo editing platforms.
