Backed by leading investors such as Sequoia, Balderton, Founders Fund, and Olayan, our mission is to revolutionize the real estate industry by building an all‑in‑one super app designed to empower agents and mortgage brokers.What you’ll do Huspy is seeking a versatile Financial Accountant in Madrid to support the goals of the business as we continue to scale our business in Europe.Manage month‑end closing process, monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and timely resolution of variances.Preparation and posting of monthly entries requested for the monthly/quarterly closing process.Work with the Financial Controller, Country GM and CFO to closely monitor cash flow.Prepare monthly management reporting and provide comments on movements.Ensure that all financial records are accurate and timely for annual audits.Manage the indirect tax filings timely and meet all local compliance requirements for allocated markets.Support with the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecast.Continue reporting improvements, defining and shaping our financial reporting roadmap to ensure we continue to improve the accuracy and quality of reporting.Work with the wider finance team, and other business units to improve efficiency including documenting process improvement.Maintain oversight of the various regulatory and corporate regimes within which we operate.Advise on commercial terms, such as customer and supplier contracts.What you bring 2+ years of experience in similar finance/accounting roles.Experience in Spain is required. Additional European exposure is a plus.Must speak English and Spanish.University degree in accounting or finance, ideally ACCA or a Chartered Accountant.Startup experience preferred.Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.Ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced environment and work proactively with various teams across the company.Xero knowledge/exposure would be a bonus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
