Overview Vall d´Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO) is a leading cancer research center associated with Vall d’Hebron University Hospital that integrates translational and clinical research to tackle the most pressing challenges in cancer research and patient care. We seek applications from outstanding early-career investigators eager to establish an independent research laboratory in computational cancer research oriented to understanding mechanisms of disease and generating insights for clinical translation in oncology. Applicants should have a PhD or MD/PhD degree, demonstrate a strong track-record of publications during their postdoc, and proven capacity to attract competitive funding.This position is targeted to candidates fulfilling the R3 – Established Researcher profile, including researchers transitioning to scientific independence as well as independent researchers in consolidation phases, in accordance with the European Commission research career framework.The successful candidate will be provided with laboratory space, a competitive start-up package, and access to state-of-the-art core units and facilities to develop their research proposal.
