At RDT we continue strengthening our Automotive division by incorporating a Senior Android Platform Engineer to join one of our international projects focused on next-generation in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) and digital cockpit systems. What will your day-to-day look like Develop and customize the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for automotive-grade hardware. Integrate the Android platform with vehicle ECUs and peripherals using automotive protocols (CAN LIN Automotive Ethernet). Debug and resolve complex system-level issues across the entire hardware and software stack. Optimize system performance stability and boot time for an enhanced in-car user experience. Collaborate closely with Hardware UI / UX QA and other cross-functional teams to deliver robust production-ready platform software. Deep understanding of Android OS internals (AOSP) HAL and Android framework components. Background in embedded systems development particularly embedded Linux. Excellent debugging and system-level problem-solving capabilities. Familiarity with automotive communication buses such as CAN. Preferred Qualifications Direct experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS). Knowledge of virtualization technologies and hypervisors (e.g. QNX). Understanding of embedded systems security principles. Experience with OTA (Over-the-Air) update mechanisms. Familiarity with automotive functional safety standards such as ISO 26262.
