About the job You will be leading the Quality Assurance (QA) function for Ink, which is part of the Product Management Team under the Chief Product Officer, where the team is overall responsible for guiding the success of the Ink product & service proposition. We define the strategy, roadmap, feature set, and holistic proposition - based on customer requirements - which will drive value for our clients and for Ink. The QA function is a critical element of this team, in that it underwrites the reliability and precision promise that we inherently make to clients using our mission critical products and services. You will be responsible for driving the quality strategy, processes, standards and outcomes across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, whilst fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Recruit, onboard, and develop QA talent to build a high-performing team. Once onboarded, you will conduct performance reviews, set goals, and provide career development support for your team members. Develop, implement, and maintain QA policies, processes, and procedures to ensure quality at every stage of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Promote automated testing practices to enhance testing efficiency and coverage to the maximum extent possible. Oversee test planning, execution, and defect tracking for all software releases developed by the engineering team, to ensure features developed are fully in line with Product team specifications. Ensure the implementation of various testing types, including functional, regression and usability testing. Manage risk-based testing strategies to prioritise critical features and minimise release risks. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of QA activities, and generate reports on quality metrics, test coverage, defect trends, and other relevant data to stakeholders. Ensure feedback loops are established and drive the initiatives necessary to address gaps or challenges identified through data analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Management, Operations and Project Management, to incorporate QA processes into agile workflows to define and meet quality goals. Your passion will be to create a seamless, reliable user experience for the client, by acting as the primary advocate for quality, influencing stakeholders across the company Define and implement the overall quality assurance strategy, aligning with company goals and objectives. Establish quality standards and best practices for Ink’s software development and deployment. Monitor emerging trends in QA methodologies, tools, and technologies to continuously improve processes. Other duties as assigned by the company from time to time. Required qualifications: Proven experience building and managing QA teams Strong background in test automation strategy and implementation Experience with mission-critical software products Hands-on experience with CI/CD and agile methodologies Technical Skills: Proficiency in test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc.) Experience with defect tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps) Knowledge of various testing types (functional, regression, performance) Ability to define and analyse quality metrics and KPIs Leadership & Soft Skills: Strong communication and stakeholder management Fluent in English and Spanish
