Candidates must have good communication skills and be comfortable working independently and with cross‑departmental teams. The candidate will be responsible for supporting nonmetallic deployment, strategy implementation, design review, maintaining and developing the company’s NM standards, and providing technical support to operations, new projects development and evaluation.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide consultation, review capital projects and introduce qualified nonmetallic products in engineering design packages.Support research and pilot projects that enhance unit performance.Develop new specifications and update existing standards, procedures and best practices.Perform technical assessment of new vendor facilities, their qualification and approval, and conduct periodic assessment to maintain a regulated vendor list.Develop, introduce and/or implement viable new nonmetallic technologies (e.g., for oil and gas, building and construction) in Saudi Aramco facilities.Lead or participate in specialized tasks such as incident investigation (e.g., failure analysis) teams, special audit teams, value engineering teams, and organizational improvement teams.Provide support in the design and construction of nonmetallic systems (e.g., pipe, composite repair, structural components, lining).Act as a professional mentor to developing specialists and engineers.Demonstrate excellent technical writing and presentation skills.Bachelor’s Degree (Advanced Degree preferred) in Chemical, Materials, Polymers, or Mechanical Engineering with 20 years of professional experience as an engineer in the nonmetallic materials field, specifically in the oil and gas industry.Excellent knowledge of nonmetallic products (e.g., thermoplastic, thermosets) such as piping, tanks, valves, downhole tubulars, composite structures, qualification, testing, consultation, operation, technical support, and technology management.Affiliation with professional societiesPágina such as ASME, API, ISO, NACE; in-depth knowledge of international engineering standards and specifications is highly desirable.Working environmentOur high-performing employees are drawn by the challenging and rewarding professional, technical and industrial opportunities we offer, and are remunerated accordingly.
